At Bella Farms we are a non profit specializing in preserving the highest standards in Giant Rabbit Breeds and Providing Therapy Pets. We developed a completely grain free feeding program for all of our animals. This reduces illness, increasing production and longevity.
Flemish Giant Bunnies are the renowned bunnies of all those internet giant bunny pictures. We absolutely fell in love with their giant size and laid back personality. As a Veterinary Nutritionist and animal lover, it was very important to me that they be raised as close to nature as possible. Our beloved, hand raised bunnies are kept in colony style enclosures on the ground and are never kept in small cages. They are fed mainly alfalfa pellets and hi fiber hay mix with additional clover and veggies. Our Rabbits are never feed wheat or corn.
In 2019 we finally achieved our dream of getting Continental Giants. We are very excited to brings these beautiful gentle giants, to their new families.
In 2021 We also welcomed a Trio of Giant Chinchilla Rabbits. The original American Rabbit!
We became aware early in our adventure that these bunnies can qualify for therapy certificates. This means they can be allowed and paid for by state programs for those who are special needs; including not just physical, but PTSD and emotional as well. We do offer a 10 percent discount to Active and Retired Servicemen.
Since our goal is to make these bunnies available mainly to those who really need them, we only sell one or 2 per litter. Our weekly feeding and care costs are about $100. We would really like to upgrade their housing and build some playgrounds for them.
We specialize in large show quality Pedigreed Black, Steel, Blue and Light grey, Fawn and Sandy Flemish Giants. White Eared Continental Giants and Giant Chinchilla Rabbits.
